Hyperforin acts as antidepressant by blocking the reuptake of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine, serotonin and dopamine. By reducing the activity of reuptake transporters, hyperforin increases the levels of these neurotransmitters in the brain, which improve mood and restore emotional balance. It also inhibits the reuptake of GABA, a neurotransmitter that increases relaxation and reduces anxiety.
One capsule two times daily for 12 years and above .
This medication is not recommended for children under the age of 12 and should not be used with hormonal contraception.
